Safari post from South Africa

I have recently returned from South Africa. 15 1/2 hours from JFK to Johannesburg, and then a hop to Cape Town was not as bad as we had thought it might be. Knowing that we would be at an African safari for 4 days, I had our Mojave fabric made into a pant and top that would allow me to blend in without startling the animals. Little did I know that our fellow travel mates in the Land Cruisers would be wearing polka dotted sweaters, British denim, and the like. I guess you could say I was a little over dressed, but if needed, the setup would have been perfect for blending in in any situation.

I also must say I was comfortable! With pit zips in the Mojave Travel Shirt and the light fabric with Schoeller's 3X Dry application, nothing the sun threw at me could pull my lens away from the animals only yards away from the vehicle.
Of course it is only spring in South Africa, and the mornings and nights are still cold. We found ourselves bundled up with offered blankets, since we had chosen to travel with only carry on luggage for our multi week travels.
More to come soon.
